1. Change System Optimizer Setting:

2. Run Scheduled Optimization:

To run a scheduled optimization, just double-click on the Webroot icon. Here, the main interface displays on your screen. You need to click on Advanced Settings. It shows you the Settings pane with the Install Settings sub-pane active. At this point, you have to select Scheduler. You will see the Scheduler pane appears with the Scan Schedule tab active. Now, you should click on the System Optimizer tab. Next, it displays the System Optimizer sub-pane. Then, you should select the Enable scheduled optimization checkbox. Here, you should select or deselect Optimize only on the following days checkbox. After this, you should select the Optimize at specific time of day radio button, or select the Optimize every radio button. Next, select or deselect the Run on bootup checkbox. At last, click the Save button or click the Rest to defaults button or click the Cancel button or click the X.

3. Run System Optimizer Manually:

To run the System Optimizer manually, double-click on the Webroot icon. It will show you the main interface. After this, click on Utilities to expand the Utilities drop-down menu.  At this point, you should select the System Optimizer tab and then click on Optimize Now. Here, it will show you the optimizer with a progress bar as it runs. After the optimizer completes, it will show you how much disk space was recovered and also when the last optimization was completed. If you want to get details about what was deleted, then from Utilities, you should select the System Optimizer tab, and then click the View Log button. Here, the log appears in the default text editor. At last, close the file.
