Sometimes, your PC is not going to Sleep then it will result in unnecessary Power Consumption. To fix this issue, you should use Webroot antivirus software to scan the viruses and remove Peripheral devices . In this article, you will learn the solution to fix Window 10 PC won’t go into Safe Mode .

Method To Fix If Window 10 PC Wont Go Into Sleep Mode:

1. Ensure Sleep Mode is Enabled:

First, you need to press Windows key + I at the same time to open the Settings app. After this, you should select System. Then, you need to choose Power & sleep from the left side of the screen. At this point, you should set preferred values under the Sleep section and then exit.

In case, you updated Windows recently, then you should ensure to check out your Power Plan settings. After this, you should restore Advanced Power Settings for the Power Plan.

For this, you should tap on Windows key + I simultaneously in order to open Settings. Now, you should choose System. Then, you have to select Power & sleep from the left side of the screen. At this point, you should tap on the Additional power settings which are in the top right side of the screen. Here, you should choose Change when the computer sleeps. Now, you should tap on Restore default settings for this plan. At last, you should Save changes.

2. Scan for Viruses:

You need to open Windows Defender from the Notification area. After this, choose Virus & threat protection. Now, you should tap on Advanced scan section. Then, you need to select Windows Defender Offline Scan and then hit on Scan Now button. At last, when your PC restart and then the scanning process will also start.

It is advised you should use Webroot antivirus software via webroot.com/safe in order to deep scan your device which helps to remove viruses and malware from your device.

3. Remove Peripheral Devices:

The reason why this issue occurs is the peripheral devices. The devices such as a mouse or keyboard etc. did not cause any issues. But the devices like webcam, printer, or SD reader can result in this error. It is suggested you should remove DVD from DVD-ROM, if it is not in use. When you unplug peripheral devices, then you will find that the problem will be solved.

4. Disable Hybrid Mode:

For this, you need to tap on Windows key + I together to open Settings. Then, you have to choose System option. After this, you should select Power & sleep from the left side of the screen. Now, you should tap on Additional power settings which are located in the top right side of the PC. At this point, you should choose the preferred Power Plan which you use and then tap on Change plan settings. Here in the next window, you should hit on the Change advanced power settings. Next in the tree menu, you should expand Sleep. Just you have to expand the Allow hybrid sleep and then turn it OFF. At last, you should Save changes.

5. Change Advanced Power Settings:

For this, you should tap on Windows key + I just to open Settings. Now, you should select System. After this, you should select Power & sleep from the left side of the screen. Now, you need to open Additional power settings from the top right side. Then, you have to choose your preferred Power Plan and then tap on Change plan settings. Here, tap on the Change advanced power settings. Next, you should expand Multimedia settings. At this point, you should set When sharing media option just to Allow the computer to sleep. Lastly, you should confirm changes.
